Happy New Year!!!!!!! 2013 is going to be GREAT!!!!!!! Hello all!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope you had a wonderful holiday season and a wonderful start to the new year. I just wanted to say hello again all and say what all I have been up to as well as talk about what I plan on doing this year. After I broke my foot in March of last year, I had to spend most of the summer going to physical therapy. Since then, I have been able to start doing my regular activities again. I also had the opportunity to work Scarefest in Lexington again this year, which was, once again, an amazing experience/opportunity for me. I was also named assistant news editor to my school newspaper where I worked until December. I will also be graduating in December 2013 from college, which I am excited/nervous about. I have decided that I will attempt to write one blog entry a day just for fun/stress relief. Some post will be funny while others will be more serious. I hope you enjoy the revamped blog and be sure to comment and ask questions.

Wheelchair Diaries Day 1-10 16 days until I see the doctor. Today was the first day I was having to celebrate a holiday without any of my family.  Since I live in on the other end of the state, my drive is 4 1/2-5 1/2 hours and a time change away.  I have finally cleaned my room so I can move my wheelchair around in it.  I have also learned how to do the basics from shower to doing laundry.  I have also learned how to respect everyone because I usually, at some point within my day, have someone help me out.  Whether it is opening up a door for me all the way to helping me get into my car, I depend on others’ kindness.  Another thing I have learned is to take it easy.  Being a VERY active college student (theater, writing for the school paper, taking 18 hours of classes, or just finding time to talk to my family), I have learned to choose what I do.  Sometimes, I have to work on homework all hours of the night and other times I have to tell someone that I can’t do something anymore.  During this short time, I have learned how to step up and make lemonade out of very sore lemons. That is it as of now.  Stay tune to tomorrow’s exciting adventure!!!!!!!!! <3 Elise Diane

Hello All!!!!!!!!!! Story Time (again)!!!!!!!! Hello Beautiful followers and everyone else reading, I hope you all have been doing well in life. I have been super busy with school, writing for the school paper, and packing up to go home, then come back for summer school.  I am going to start coming onto here more.  So I have decided to start a daily blog for the next few weeks called the Wheelchair Diaries.  Some of you may want to know what’s going on, so it’s story time!!!!!!!!!!! About two weeks ago come this Tuesday, I was outside my dorm room trying on a skirt for a date I was suppose to have with a guy on Saturday.  Well, since I am so graceful, I lost my balance and I fell and broke my foot and displaced a bone in my foot.  As a result of this, I am on crutches (EPIC HATE) and in a wheelchair.  As a result of this, I have decided let people know about my experiences in a wheelchair.  I will start this blog later tonight, so that I can recap everything since the start of April. Have a happy and safe Easter!!!!!!!!!!!!!! <3 Elise Diane

SO… Hello all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I’m sorry I have not been on lately, but I have been super, super busy.  Next week starts my finals schedule/moving home for about a month.  Soon I will be of drinking age, which is exciting and, trust me, the party planning has started. Below is what I have been into for the last several months: September: I had the chance to work Scarefest and it was EPIC…………  I also got to work my school’s production of Comedy of Errors, which was amazing.  Plus during the cast party, I learned that it sucks to get sick off of Welch’s sparkling grape juice. October: I changed my major to journalism and it has been amazing ever since.  I started writing for the school paper and have had great success since with my first story winning the editor’s weekly pick.  I also went home for my great uncle’s memorial service which was wonderful.  I also competed an iron man challenge.  (an iron man is swimming 2 miles, biking 126.4 miles, and running/walking 26.2 miles) November: I had a wonderful Thanksgiving with family.  It was a rough one because it was the first one without my grandmother.  It made me realize that family is a gift.  I also has my first front page story publish, which is one of my proudest moments ever in journalism as of now. December (as of now): I saw my first snow flurries on Monday of this past week and the weather is getting colder even as I type.  Tonight I get to see my favortie ballet, The Nutcracker, ever performed live on stage for $5.  I am also getting ready to say good bye to senior friends graduating next week.  For me, I only have until May 2013 for that is when I say good bye to being in college.  I also got approved for co-op credit for the summer. Currently I am a public relations officer for two of my professional fraturnities that I am involved in on campus. Cheers to you all and I wish you the best until I type again! Just remember: Everyone is beautiful in their own unique way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Love Never Dies Sorry I have not been writting much.  I just got back from Savannah, Gerogia on Friday with my church youth group.  I was an adult leader for it and it was so much fun. I am usually not a romantic person, but today I decided to comment on the age old question of love.  I truly believe that love is real.  Sometimes people we think our soulmates are turn out to be wrong sometimes, but love is not easy.  Love will sting and burn you sometimes, but we must be strong about it. My advice on love: Be yourself and be happy about who you are.  Love never dies, but we only get to live once, so love without any limits.

Day 20 of the Harry Potter Challenge If I could meet one person from the cast I would choose Emma Waston.  She seems really cool and doesn’t let the fact that she is in one of most popular book-turned-movie series in the world affect her.  She is going to college to get an education and seems like a very sweet and charming person to be around.  She is also very fan friendly by posting videos for her fans and tweeting her fans regular updates about stuff she is involved in or just to say hi and swish them a season greeting like “Merry Christmas” or “Happy New Year”.

Day 19 of the Harry Potter Challenge I prefer the books because the only movies that have been true to the books are “The Deathly Hallows: Part 1” and hopefully it will continue through “The Deathly Hallows: Part 2”.  The books are an easy and quick read.  They transport me to a complete and entirely  different world when I am reading them.
